Alderman Phuong Ngo, Chairman of the Vietnam War Memorial Committee was later convicted of the murder of a fellow Counsellor, the first conviction for political assassination in Australia.


This bronze memorial was donated by
the community of Cabramatta to
commemorate the comradeship shared
by Australian and Vietnamese soldiers
during the Vietnam War 1962 - 1972
and was officially unveiled by
the Governor of New South Wales
