Local Memorials

The purpose of this section is to record come of the many memorials located throughout Australia that are dedicated to those who served, suffered and died in Vietnam. The growing number of memorials is evidence of the growing pride of Vietnam veterans, and their willingness to be seen and heard after so many decades of silence.

Many of these memorials are dedicated to all the post World War II Asian wars, providing particular recognition of the 'forgotten' wars of Korea, Malaya and Borneo.

This is a small start to what may turn out to be a rather large project. It includes only those memorials that I have details about, often because of personal involvement.  If you know of a memorial that is not represented here, please send details, including photographs, to the webmaster, so that it can be added to the list.
